Schoolgirl, 15, in coma after 'falling from 100ft building while taking selfie'

A schoolgirl is in a coma after she fell 100ft from a high-rise building after posing for a birthday selfie, reports claim.

The girl, who has been named only as Milena, is in a "critical but stable" condition after doctors put her into a medically induced coma following emergency brain surgery in oil capital, Tyumen, in Russia.

Russian law enforcement are investigating the case but eyewitnesses said the girl was trying to take a “cool” selfie from a residential balcony.

One witness claims two male friends were holding her on the 10th floor of the high rise - but she fell.

“She was held by the boys who suddenly couldn’t hold her, and she fell down first on iron steps and then further on the ground,” said the witness.
