Schoolgirl, 14, last seen on Snapchat found safe and well

A 14-year-old girl who went missing a week ago has now been found, say Kent Police.

Jodie Pook's disappearance prompted her sister, Carla, to issue a desperate appeal to find her after she went missing from her home in Wakefield on September 15.

The teenager, originally from Widnes, moved to the Wakefield area a few months ago but still had family and friends living in Widnes and had connections to Merseyside.

Family and police were desperate to find the schoolgirl after she was last seen on Snapchat maps one week ago.

Thanking those that shared the appeal, a spokesperson for Kent Police broke the good news yesterday that the teenager had now been found.

The post read: "Jodie Pook has been found. Thanks to everyone who helped share the appeals."
