Schoolboy stabbed at park in Milngavie as cops swoop on disturbance

A schoolboy was stabbed during a disturbance at a public park in Milngavie.

Officers were called to Lennox Park in East Dunbartonshire at around 6pm last night.

They discovered the injured 15-year-old, who was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

He remains in stable condition.

Police sealed off the entrance to the park last and have now launched an investigation.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6pm on Sunday, 14 June , 2020, a 15-year-old male youth was assaulted within the skate park area of Lennox Park, Milngavie.

“He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

"Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

“Police enquiries are continuing and they are following a positive line of enquiry.”
