A schoolboy has been seriously injured and a man hurt in a double daylight stabbing.
The boy, said to be aged 13, was knifed shortly before 10pm on Tuesday, August 10 in Sheldon, Birmingham.
A man was also hurt in the incident on Wychwood Crescent, close to Lyndon Green School.
Armed police and paramedics raced to the scene, where the injured pair were treated before being rushed to hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic all attended the incident, reports Birmingham Live.
Eyewitnesses at the scene of the stabbing said 'four or five' police cars with armed officers attended.
Neighbours reported hearing 'a lot of shouting' before cops 'swarmed the area'.
Officers are today said to be going door-to-door taking witness statements.
Wychwood Crescent is a usually quiet residential area overlooking Lyndon Green Infants and Junior schools.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9:53pm to reports of a stabbing at Wychwood Crescent, Sheldon.
"We sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene.
"We treated a teenage boy for potentially serious injuries and a man for injuries not believed to be serious.
"Both were conveyed to hospital for further treatment."
