Schoolboy rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Cadishead

A schoolboy was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Cadishead, Salford.

The incident happened in Liverpool Road on Thursday morning.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance response unit, were all dispatched to the scene just after 7.30am.

A 13-year-old boy was found near the Coach and Horses pub with an injury to his ankle.

A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.34am (Thursday, February 27).

“We attended with an ambulance and air ambulance vehicle.

“It was a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian, a 13-year-old male patient.

“One person was taken to hospital. It doesn’t look to be major injuries.”
