Schoolboy charged after attack at Scots barber shop which left teen in hospital

A 14-year-old boy has been charged after a 16-year-old was attacked at a Scots barber shop.

The 16-year-old was rushed to hospital by ambulance to treat his injuries following the incident outside S.Kucharski Gents Barber on Musselburgh High Street, in East Lothian just after 2pm yesterday.

Police rushed to the scene and taped off the area and forensics were said to be at the scene late into the evening.

Police have now confirmed that a 14-year-old has been charged in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 1.55pm on Friday, 16 April, 2021 following the report of a disturbance on Musselburgh High Street.

“A 16-year-old male youth was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

“A 14-year-old male youth has been charged in connection with incident and further enquiries are ongoing into the incident.“
