A schoolboy has been assaulted by a man during a vicious Glasgow attack.
The thug was seen hitting the 13-year-old boy in Croftpark Avenue, in the south side of the city, around 8:45am last Friday.
Police are now hunting down a man who had a shaved head and was in his 30's.
The child and the man are known to one another and both had been in a navy blue Ford Focus before the assault.
Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to the cruel attack as they launch their investigations.
They described the attacker as around 5 ft. 9 inches in height, with a medium build.
He also has a beard and was wearing a dark jacket, red t-shirt and black trousers.
They then walked up Croftpark Avenue.
Officers are checking CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information which could assist the investigation.
Detective Constable Dan Hood said:"I am appealing to people who were in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen what happened.
"There are two schools in the area and people may have been collecting their children from school.
"Any small piece of information could prove significant so please do pass it on to us.”
