A 13-year-old boy has died after being hit by a train in Falkirk.
The incident took place on Friday.
The schoolboy was struck between Falkirk Grahamston and Linlithgow train stations.
ScotRail officials confirmed last night that they were 'working closely with emergency services'.
The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been disclosed.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
