Schoolboy, 12, jumped in Scots park and attacked by group of youths

A schoolboy was jumped by a group of teens in a horrifying Scots park attack.

Police have launched a probe after the youngster, 12, was battered at Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy.

The incident happened at around 6pm on Saturday.

His mum told the Scottish Sun that the boy was left dizzy, bleeding from his ear and with a swollen jaw before walking home injured as his phone was smashed in the attack.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and this afternoon they told the Record their enquiries are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report on Saturday, 1 May, of a 12-year-old boy being assaulted around 6pm in Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy.

"Enquiries are ongoing.”
