A school uniform exchange has launched at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet today, aiming to provide essential uniforms to those in need.
The initiative has been launched in partnership with Winsford Uniform Exchange and will be running until September 30. Visitors are encouraged to bring new or preloved uniforms to Cheshire Oaks, which will then be distributed in the local community to help families struggling in the face of increasing financial uncertainty and the cost of living crisis.
The Uniform Exchange works to support families by providing them with the essentials they need to embark on a new school year. Donations can be brought to guest services or to the bar area of Under The Oak Container Village.

Emma Ball, founder of Winsford Uniform Exchange, said: "Buying school uniform is such a big cost for families, especially if you have more than one child. It's a cost that keeps on coming as children grow out of things so quickly, so you are often left with perfectly good items that just don't fit.
"This pop up at Cheshire Oaks outlet will hopefully ecourage even more donations of unneeded items that we can make available for families who are struggling with the cost."
Kenny Murray, centre manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks, added: "We hope that our uniform exchange encourages lots of people to bring along donations of good condition uniforms that their children have grown out of.
"These donations can make all the difference to families that are struggling, so we are very happy to be able to work with Emma and Winsford Uniform Exchange on this project."
