School sends out warning to parents after man and woman 'try to take children'

Parents have been urged not to let their kids walk home from school after a man and woman 'tried to take children'.

Arden Primary School in Bredbury, Stockport, issued the warning on Thursday after receiving worrying reports, according to Manchester Evening News.

School representatives said that pair had been spotted 'impersonating sales representatives' and had even try to lead away children who were accompanied by their parents.

A letter sent out to parents and guardians said: "Please be extra vigilant when collecting your (sic) child from school today.

"We have been informed from several sources that there are two strangers, a man and a woman, impersonating sales representatives in surrounding areas today.

"They have apparently been trying to take children, even when with their parents.

"Those parents with children walking home alone, in older year groups, may want to collect them today."

It is the latest in a series of stranger danger warning issues by schools across the region in recent weeks.

Earlier this week, St John Fisher Catholic High School in Wigan urged pupils to be 'vigilant' after 'two men in a Ford Focus approached pupils'.

Meanwhile, Standish Community High School, also in Wigan, recently issued a series of warning to parents following reports of a number of men 'acting suspiciously' outside its gates.
