A woman was attacked outside a primary school in Sale.
The attack took place outside Sandilands Primary School, on Wendover Road, in Brooklands, during the morning school run on Friday, January 10.
A short time later police were then called to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist on the same road.
Police believe both incidents are linked, but have not given any further details.

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses said the woman was punched and kicked to the ground in front of young children, although police have not been able to confirm these details.
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A statement said: "At around 9am this morning (Friday, January 10, 2020), officers were called to reports that a woman had been assaulted outside Sandilands Primary School, Manchester.
"A short time later, they were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a cyclist on Wendover Road.
"Officers attended and an investigation is underway. It’s believed the incidents are linked.
"No arrests have been made."
Joan Grant, Headteacher Sandilands Primary School, said: "We're aware of the incident that took place on the street outside school this morning and are supporting the police with their investigation."
