School pupils get to see Saints silverware up close

On Monday, November 1, The Scottish Cup and the Betfred League Cup, both won earlier this year by the St Johnstone team, came to Inchview Primary School in Perth for the children to get a close up look at.

Pupils in Fir, the older intensive support provision group, and the younger ones in Ash were equally excited to see what their football heroes had won when both impressive trophies were put on display in the school.

Head teacher at Inchview, Margaret Donaghy said: “It was wonderful, the visit with the trophies was right out of the blue and caused great delight among our pupils.”

The next day, children from RDM Scone were shown the two cups by members of the Saints Trust in an unexpected surprise that boosted Tuesday morale.

Members of the Saints Trust brought the cups to RDM Scone so pupils - like class P7a seen here - and many others could admire the trophies. (unknown)

Head teacher at RDM Primary Mrs Lynne Lambert said: “The boys and girls at RDM were delighted and inspired by a visit of the Scottish Cup. Many look forward to bringing this back to Perth in future years.”
