School photographer shares 'favourite' name they've ever heard on the job

It's no surprise parents love to pick weird and wonderful names for their children - but one school photographer might have found the most interesting name there is.

The pro, who regularly comes across all sorts of unique choices, has delighted parents after revealing some of the monikers that stood out over the years.

With so many options to choose from, the artist put together a 'non-exhaustive list' that they then shared to Reddit, and some of the names have to be seen to be believed.

This is not to say any of the names on the list aren't great picks.

However, you'd be harshed pushed to argue some of them are typical choices after viewing the list which celebrates individuality.

Posting to the website's 'name nerds' forum, the anonymous writer explained: "I'm a school photographer. Here is a non-exhaustive list of interesting names I've come across."

It read: "Cypress Morningstar (f, by far my favorite); Dzofeaxora (f); Cynarah (f); Pharaoh (m); Jaaziel (m); Sonidah (f); Kestrel (f); Varvara (f); Alexious (m); Eirini (f); Basilisa (f); Leybia (f, the poor girl); Tolga (m); Uranus (f); Reverence and Maker (brothers)

"And of course a couple pop culture names: Khaleesi (f); Renesmee (f)."

In response, commenters were quick to share their thoughts and add memorable names they've come across before.

"Cypress, Cynarah, and Sonidah and Kestrel are all pretty cool," read one reply. A second agreed: "I once knew a Cynara. It's actually a neat plant name."

Someone else revealed: "My friend Katherine goes by Kestrel. Beautiful bird and a beautiful name." But someone thought: "Kestrel does sound cool and I love birds, but I do feel like most animal names are a little too on-the-nose. Like, naming your kid Wolf instead of naming something captures the qualities associated with the animal just feels weird to me."

However, a different commenter defended the pick, writing: "I think it's a lovely name."
