Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit musical School of Rock is coming to the the Playhouse theatre in Edinburgh as part of a tour around the UK.
Based on the classic film starring Jack Black, it will only be in the capital for a few days next month.
After a run at the King's Theatre in Glasgow, it will head to the Edinburgh Playhouse between 23 and 27 March.
Tickets are due to go on sale at 10am on Monday, March 9.
The story follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school.
He turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. A cast of young actors will be raising the roof each night during the play's run.
Dewey falls for the school’s beautiful but uptight headmistress, helping her rediscover the wild child within.
School of Rock - The Musical got rave reviews when it opened in 2016 and recently concluded a Broadway run in the US.
