School in Crumpsall closed for 'urgent electrical work'

A large secondary school in north Manchester is closed today for urgent electrical repair work to be carried out.

Abraham Moss Community School in Crumpsall will be shut all day as the works will leave the building without power.

Parents are urged to check the website or a school app to see if it will reopen on Monday (March 2).

A post, put on the school's website, said: "Abraham Moss Community School will be closed on Friday, February 28 to carry out urgent electrical work that will leave the school without electrical power.

"It is anticipated we will reopen Monday, March 2. Check the website over the weekend and MyEd app to stay updated."

Abraham Moss, on Crescent Road, is a mixed primary school and secondary school with pupils aged five to 16.
