A high school in Canberra's south was locked down on Thursday morning and a young person taken into custody after a disturbance at the site.
An Education Directorate spokesman said police attended Calwell High School to deal with an incident involving an individual student.
An ACT Policing spokesman said officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the school at 11.30am.
"As a result of this disturbance, the school enacted its lock down protocols," the spokesman said.
"One young [male] has been taken into custody.
"Further information will be provided when available."

The nature of the disturbance is unknown.
The directorate spokesman said the school's principal communicated with parents and carers about the incident and directed them to available support services.
