One last hurrah for “Schitt’s Creek.”
The final season of Pop TV’s hilarious, sarcastic family comedy cleaned up at the Golden Globes nominations Wednesday, earning nominations for best comedy, best actress (Catherine O’Hara), best actor (Eugene Levy), best supporting actress (Annie Murphy) and best supporting actor (Dan Levy).
That follows a clean sweep of the top comedy categories at the Emmys in September, during which the show took home seven awards.
Five Globes nominations for “Schitt’s Creek” falls just behind “The Crown,” with six, for most among TV shows this year.
“The Undoing” and “The Great” each scored four nominations.
While “Schitt’s Creek” remained off of most people’s radar for its early seasons, the comedy gained a cult following in later years as the suddenly poor Roses struggled to rebuild their lives in a tiny town they just happened to own.
