Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling says he needs his wife's permission before running for the Senate against Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Schilling told Providence, Rhode Island, radio station WPRO that he is ready to run in Massachusetts.
"I've made my decision," CBS Rhode Island's Ted Nesi reported. "I'm going to run. But _ but _ I haven't talked to Shonda, my wife."
Schilling has been outspoken in his politically conservative views. Earlier this year, he was fired from his job as a baseball analyst for ESPN after making a Facebook post implying that allowing transgender people to use the bathroom they identified with would lead to bathroom predators.
