Scary moment Dublin Fire Brigade battle frightening blaze beside 1,000 litre diesel tank with fears of explosion

Brave firefighters rushed to the scene of a scary blaze in west Dublin late on Thursday night.

The frightening waste fire started beside a 1,000 litre diesel tank and locals in Blanchardstown contacted Dublin Fire Brigade in a panic fearing an explosion was possible.

The heroic workers from the nearby unit managed to extinguish the blaze late in the night and prevented the fire from spreading.

Thursday was a busy day for Dublin Fire Brigade as units were also called to attend serious fires in Finglas and Ballsbridge.

Multiple stations battled the large blaze in the Ballygall area of Finglas as teams with breathing apparatus fought to keep the blaze under control.

Dublin Fire Brigade HQ, Finglas and Phibsboro stations all rushed to the scene and put out the fire that had spread from the roof
