Scary moment driver flips car over after driving across black ice in Dublin as Gardai issue weather warning

This is the frightening moment that Gardai came across a flipped over vehicle in Dublin at the weekend.

The driver had a very lucky escape after suffering the possible life-threatening incident when they came in contact with black ice last night.

The collision took place in the Naul area of Dublin when the car the person was driving lost control and turned over onto its roof.

Thankfully, Gardai confirmed there were no injuries but did warn the public to be careful while driving in frost, ice and low temperature conditions.

They said: "This car had a mishap on black ice last night in the Naul area of Dublin.

"Met Éireann are again forecasting sharp frost early tonight and tomorrow morning.

"It takes longer to stop a vehicle on icy roads so slow down and allow extra distance between you and the vehicle in front."
