Scarlett Moffatt's classy response to fat shaming trolls after Great British Bake Off’s Extra Slice

Scarlett Moffatt sent a classy response to trolls who made nasty comments about her weight on Twitter.

The 29-year-old graced our screens for The Great British Bake Off spin-off Extra Slice on Friday.

But despite making a stunning appearance in a scarlet floral dress, some viewers attacked her and made cruel jokes about her weight.

Among the trolls, one wrote: "#bakeoffextraslice . My word scarlets ate some cakes!"

Others added: "Jo “Do you like cake Scarlett? Er what do you think? #whoateallthepies #ScarlettMoffatt #TheGreatBritishBakeOffExtraSlice ."

"Scarlett’s diet is going well #gbbo #extraslice ."

Classy Scarlett turned a blind eye to trolls and focused on the positive comments she received, reports Mirror Online.

She wrote: "Thanks for all your lovely comments about the GBBO extra slice."

Many fans had jumped to her defence as they branded her "refreshing" and "beautiful".

Others added: "Social media at its finest!! The comments made about  @ScarlettMoffatt  are disgraceful!! We aren’t all size 0, we like to eat and drink (they don’t in the most) - these disgraceful comments HAVE TO STOP!!

"Scarlett....you’re beautiful, funny and intelligent - don’t go changing!!! X"

"Catching up on  #ExtraSlice  and have to say  @ScarlettMoffatt  so refreshing and natural missed her on my telly."Scarlett has battled with her weight since she was catapulted into the limelight.

The I'm A Celeb winner previously dropped from 11 stone to a trim eight stone before she piled on the pounds again.

In 2016, she rolled out a fitness DVD when she was at a tiny eight stone.

Recently, Scarlett showed off her amazing transformation after losing three stone.

Often candid about her weight, Scarlett previously claimed she was happiest at a healthy size 12.
