Scarlett Moffatt's legions of fans have come rushing to her defence after the former I'm A Celebrity winner was targeted by vicious online trolls during her latest TV appearance.
County Durham lass Scarlett was one of the panelists on the first episode of Great British Bake Off's Extra Slice on Friday night and, while the Gogglebox star looked thrilled to be there, a number of viewers took aim at her in disgusting fashion.
Among the vile tweets about Scarlett, who has been strongly linked with an appearance on Celebrity Bake Off, was one reading "My word scarlets ate some cakes!" while another posted "Scarlett’s diet is going well."
However, for all the awful comments, there were plenty of ones praising Scarlett as her many social media followers showed their support.
One fan wrote "Social media at its finest!! The comments made about @ScarlettMoffatt are disgraceful!!
"We aren’t all size 0, we like to eat and drink (they don’t in the most) - these disgraceful comments HAVE TO STOP!!"
Echoing those sentiments, another wrote Scarlett....you’re beautiful, funny and intelligent - don’t go changing!!!"
Another added "Beautiful young lady inside & out. They are just jealous."
