Scarlett Moffatt recreates Amanda Henderson’s viral ‘Sharon’ moment on Celebrity Mastermind

Scarlett Moffatt recreated one of the year’s biggest viral moments while appearing on Celebrity Mastermind on Wednesday (30 December).

Back in January, Casualty star Amanda Henderson found herself becoming a meme after appearing on the long-running BBC quiz show.

Asked who wrote the 2019 book No One is Too Small to Make a Difference, Henderson was unable to recall the name of climate activist Greta Thunberg and instead answered: “Sharon.”

The clip was widely shared online, with Thunberg seeing the funny side and changing her Twitter name to Sharon in response.

Appearing on the new series of Celebrity Mastermind this week, Moffatt replicated the answer during the general knowledge round.

This time, host John Humphreys asked the former Gogglebox star to name the tennis player who married her partner Julia Lemigova in New York in 2014, to which Moffatt replied, as a nod to Henderson: “Sharon.”

Viewers were thrilled to see the callback by Moffatt, with some joking that Mastermind had “gone full circle”.

“Amanda Henderson answering, ‘Sharon,’ at the beginning of the year and Scarlett Moffatt answering, ‘Sharon,’ at the end of the year. When in doubt, answer with, ‘Sharon,’” one viewer tweeted.

“Hahah @ScarlettMoffatt answering ‘Sharon’. Someone had to do it,” another fan wrote.

“Scarlett Moffatt saying ‘Sharon’ for the answer she didn't know on #CelebrityMastermind… Amanda Henderson's impact is incredible,” one tweet read.
