Scarlett Moffatt launching new conspiracy theory podcast show on the BBC

Scarlett Moffatt is hoping to discover if the truth is out there by launching a new BBC Radio 1 podcast all about conspiracy theories.

The 30-year-old former Gogglebox star will be investigating the truth about aliens and whether or not mermaids exist as part of the new series of podcasts.

Scarlett will be joined by her police constable boyfriend Scott Dobinson, who is due to take a more sceptical view to the topics that will be covered.

And seemingly in a nod to their Mulder and Scully style of approach to the subject matter, the podcast is titled: “Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe.”

Former I’m A Celeb contestant Scarlett expressed her excitement about launching the new series on BBC Sounds next week.

She told The Sun: “I’m obsessed with conspiracies.

“I’m in my element on this podcast as we cover everything from aliens to the Illuminati to mermaids.”

She added: “My boyfriend Scott is a non-believer so there’s some fun arguments – sorry, debates.”

Scarlett and Scott have been dating since 2019 and fell for each other fast.

A source revealed in an interview last year: “The pair met through a mutual friend and hit it off straight away.

Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe will start streaming from May 11 (scarlettmoffatt/Instagram)

“And he’s got a decent job being a police officer in Durham near where she lives.”

While the source endorsed Scott by branding him: “a really stand-up guy."

New episodes of the couple’s podcast will air every Monday from May 11.
