Scarlett Moffatt ditches hair extensions to reveal real hair for first time in years

Scarlett Moffatt shocked fans with the reveal of her 'reveal hair' after ditching her extensions on Instagram.

Ever since she first appeared on MTV show Beauty School Cop Outs, before shooting to fame on Gogglebox a year later, Scarlett has never been seen without her trademark long locks.

The County Durham star even refused to take them out when she went into the Australian jungle for her winning stint on I'm A Celebrity at the end of 2016, despite warnings from producers.

And her decision to go against bosses' hair advice came back to haunt her when a rather grim discovery was made during her first hair appointment back on British soil.

She revealed: "When I got home I had my extensions taken out, they found two mealworms and a cockroach in my hair!’

"I got through Australian customs with that!"

So it came as a shock to her many social media followers when Scarlett, who showed off her new teeth at the weekend, revealed she was filming a TV project sporting a completely natural do.

The Bishop Auckland lass told them: "I feel like I'm getting a lot more confident. This is the first time I'm doing a TV show without extensions.

"This is my own hair," as she ran her hands through her shorter locks.

Scarlett, 30, explained she cut her real hair into a bob two few years ago to encourage healthy hair growth and the results certainly looked good as she posed a colourful shirt ready for her latest TV appearance, captioning the shot "Time for filming. My shirt is @neverfullydressed."

Scarlett's hair reveal came days after she told her legions of fans she 'could finally smile' because of her new teeth.

Sharing a video that ended with her flashing a beaming grin, she wrote: " Bullies are like sandpaper the more they wear you down the more polished you become.

"I have done this for me, not them and now thanks to @queenswaysmiles & @queenswaylab I don’t think I’ll ever stop smiling"
