Scarlett Moffatt claims she was 'abducted by aliens' as a child, leaving Loose Women stars shocked

Scarlett Moffatt shocked Loose Women panellists and viewers at home when she revealed that she thinks she was abducted by aliens as a child.

County Durham star Scarlett was a guest on the ITV talk show on Monday and, appearing via video call from her living room, spoke about her new podcast 'Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe'.

The podcast series sees Scarlett and boyfriend Scott debate the various conspiracy theories the former I'm A Celebrity winner has and one of the ones she feels most strongly about is that she was once abducted by aliens.

Revealing all to stunned Loose Women stars Andrea McLean, Brenda Edwards, Gloria Hunniford and Nadia Sawalha, Scarlett said: "When I was about 10 a huge beam of light came into my bedroom and then I had a dream, or what they wanted me to think was a dream, that I was abducted by an alien.

"Scott thinks I'm crazy it says it was probably just a car headlight shining in."

When asked what her parents thought at the time when she told them, Scarlett, who also shared a wild theory about Paul McCartney, replied: "My dad's favourite film is Alien so he loved it. My middle name is Sigourney after Sigourney Weaver!"

She added: "I don;t know how people think we can land on the moon but creatures from other planets can't come here!"
