Scarlett Moffatt blames 24-hour split with boyfriend Scott on stress of moving house

Scarlett Moffatt has blamed her brief 24-hour split from boyfriend Scott Dobinson on the stress that comes with moving house.

The former Gogglebox star got back together with her man after a short but shocking break-up that lasted all of one day.

The lovebirds have been keeping fans updated on their dream home project on social media, however it's now clear that making their forever home a perfect one has been a tough nut to crack.

Sharing an honest clip from the bed beside Scott, Scarlett told fans this morning: "For anybody moving house, I think I speak on behalf of me and Scott, it's very stressful. It is very stressful."

She went on: "I never thought it would be this stressful. I thought it would be fun. I do like the decorating part but the actual getting a house sorted and DIY and all that stuff isn't the best, but if anybody ever needs any tips on how to stay calm whilst moving..."

Scott then added, "don't ask us," before the pair burst into laughter.

Scarlett is said to have posted about the split on her Instagram page on Sunday night, deleting it after just a few seconds.

It's reported to have read: "Unfortunately me and Scott are no longer together.

"Nothing major has happened, it’s just one of those sad things. I’m going to stay positive for the future and if this lockdown has taught me anything it’s to grab life by the horns as life’s far too short."

The couple, who have a joint BBC Sounds podcast, had bought their dream home together in February.

And Scarlett previously described Scott as her "soulmate" as their relationship continued to flourish ever since.

Just last month, she had opened up about her plans to start a family with him.

When asked by a fan if she wanted kids, she replied: "One day maybe in a few years. However that may be.

"Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to adopt as I think every child deserves a loving home."
