Scarlett Johansson shares her one beauty flaw and how fixing it made her more 'confident'

Scarlett Johansson has shared how fixing one beauty flaw made her more "confident".

The stunning Hollywood beauty has opened up to InStyle magazine where she spilled the tea on her "problem skin" and spoke about her very own beauty line, The Outset.

Once the face of L'Oréal Paris beauty products, the star of the Marvel Cinematic Universe decided to leave the brand partnerships in the past and focus on something fresh, after a skincare revelation.

She told the publication that she had a revelation when she realised that she was putting lots of harmful things on her face – that were "harmful for myself and the planet".

Because of this revelation, Scarlett created The Outset, which boasts of beauty products that are free from fragrance, parabens, sulfates and phthalates.

Focusing on the motto – less is more – Scarlett has teamed up with CEO and co-founder Kate Foster Lengyel for this exciting new start-up.

With high-quality, minimal and highly effective products – they are also highly accessible to all, with all items under $55.

Not only all of this, but they're vegan too!

Hypebae reported that Scarlett said of her new venture: “The Outset means a new beginning, which feels more relevant than ever at a time when we are all starting over and pressing the reset button.

"It took years for us to build a brand that was backed by quality and purpose, and I’m thrilled to finally share The Outset with the world.

"It’s an exciting beginning for me, as well.”

Quitting her brand partnerships to start up shop on her own terms, Scarlett spoke about this to the InStyle, explaining that: "It just no longer felt desirable to represent other people's beauty ideals.

"I had a better sense of self and confident in my point of view in this space. [The decision] mirrored my acting career in the sense that I wanted to take charge of my own career in a way."

With her brand The Outset being a start-up company, her initial collection comprises of just five 'less is more' products.

The collection features: a Gentle Micellar Antioxidant Cleanser, a Firming Vegan Collagen Prep Serum, a Nourishing Squalane Daily Moisturiser, a Restorative Niacinamide Night Cream, and a Smoothing Vitamin C Eye Expression Lines Cream.

Scarlett is juggling her new venture with being a mother, because in August 2021, Scarlett's husband Colin Jost confirmed that the couple welcomed a baby boy named Cosmo.

The then-new-mum's rep confirmed the happy news of their son's arrival to People magazine, saying she "recently" gave birth.

The stunning star is also mother to daughter Rose Dorothy, six, who she shares with French journalist ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
