Scarlets unveil new playing kits for 2020-21 season and name new lead sponsor

The Scarlets have unveiled their home and away kits for the 2020-21 season and announced the name of their new lead sponsor.

Oil 4 Wales are the region’s main backers for the campaign ahead.

The company’s logos will take pride of place on the new Scarlets red home jersey and the alternate strip which contains the grey, red and yellow of the Carmarthenshire crest — in keeping with the final year of the region’s ‘Three Counties, Three Years’ strategy, with this term designated as a Carmarthenshire season.

Both shirts have an embossed ‘sosban’ on them, while the away kit contains images from county crests which reflect the region’s diverse industrial heritage.

Scarlets’ head of commercial James Bibby said: "We hope supporters like the new designs which are in keeping with our Scarlets tradition and the ‘Three Counties, Three Years’ strategy that we began in Ceredigion a couple of years ago.

"At the Scarlets we are indebted to the continued support of all our commercial partners and we look forward to welcoming them all back to the Parc when it is safe to do so."

The region are particularly pleased with their new main sponsor.

Carmarthen-based Oil 4 Wales is a long-standing supporter of the community and a business which supplies fuel across Wales.

"As a proud family business in West Wales, it is a huge honour for us to be the lead sponsor of the Scarlets for the coming season," said Oil 4 Wales managing director Colin Owens.

"Community is a huge part of what we are about at Oil 4 Wales, as it is at the Scarlets. I am a passionate Scarlets and Welsh rugby fan myself and being out in Toulon a couple of weeks ago and seeing the boys run out with the Oil 4 Wales logo on their jerseys was an incredibly proud moment for myself, the family and the business.

"We are looking forward to seeing the team in their new kit against Munster this weekend and hopefully it won’t be long before we can all be back at the Parc to cheer on the boys this season."

Bibby added: "Colin and the team at Oil 4 Wales have been long-standing supporters of the Scarlets, Welsh rugby and the community as whole.

"It is fantastic to see the three feathers of their logo on the front of our playing shirts."

Other kit partners include Owens Group, Swansea University, Gravells, LBS, Lloyds & Gravell, Castell Howell, Princes Gate, Dyfed Steel, Coleg Sir Gar and Pencwnc Holiday Park, TAD, John Francis and CK Supermarkets.
