A Scandinavian beer hall is to open on one of Cardiff's most popular city centre streets.
Heidi's Bier Bar will open on Mill Lane in 2022 at the site of former nightclub SODA, which closed earlier this year.
An application to make alterations to the existing shopfront and display new signage for the bar has been approved by Cardiff Council, after a licencing application was submitted last month with proposals to change the name and layout of the current site.

Heidi's Bier Bar currently has a number of branches across Finland, Norway and Denmark, but their new venue in the capital will be their first in the UK.
The beer hall brand's website promises visitors an "authentic après-ski atmosphere" with beer towers, music, table dancing 'Oktoberfest-style' and even nail driving contests.
Staff at the bars wear traditional Tyrolean dresses, while 10 different tap beers and a selection of over 35 bottled beers are on offer.
Their website states: "Our 4 litre beer towers, après-ski drinks, Jägerbombs or one of our many bottled craft beers will get you in just the right après-ski mood.
"Join us for an all year round après-ski party to the beat of German, Scandinavian and international hits that are sure to get your hips swinging and your pint foaming!"

The beer hall is not the only new addition to the much-loved Mill Lane, with popular Swansea bar and kitchen Gin Ne Sais Quoi taking over the site previously occupied by Carluccio's and Gourmet Burger Kitchen on the street.
The new gin bar - dubbed the "most Instagrammable" in Wales - offers late nights and live music alongside an extensive food and drinks menu and cocktail deals, including bottomless drinks and VIP drinks packages.
