Police have released footage of a man they want to question after a pensioner was scammed out of money by a fraudster posing as a police officer.
The victim, in his 80s, was conned out of the cash after the fraudster asked him to withdraw money from his bank account.
The man received a call from someone claiming to be a police officer, who said they were working on an investigation involving a local bank branch.
After several phone calls, the victim was asked to take out the money and hand it over to a courier.
CCTV shows the moment a man enters the home to collect the money.
The incident happened at a property in Station Hill, Ascot, between 4.45pm and 5.45pm on December 19 2019.
Warning people to be on their guard against phone fraudsters, investigating officer, Pc Dominik Lennard, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who has information that could assist with this investigation to get in touch.
“If you recognise the man in this CCTV video, or believe it could be you, please come forward.
