Tamilaga Valvurimai Katchi founder T. Velmurugan on Thursday expressed disappointment over the Supreme Court verdict quashing the 10.5% internal reservation for Vanniyars and said it was against social justice.
In a statement, he pointed out that many students had pursued higher education based on the Vanniyar quota and the apex court had not taken that into account.
Mr. Velmurugan requested Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to form a panel to look into the issue and enact a new legislation in such a way that it cannot be rejected in legal forums.
