An actress who voiced Anna in the Japanese dubbed version of Frozen has died after falling from her hotel room.
Sayaka Kanda, 35, was tragically found outside on the 14th floor of the 22-storey hotel that she had been staying in on December 18 at 9.40pm.
The star was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead by doctors, it has been reported by local media outlets.
Her agency confirmed the sad news in a statement: "We are very sorry to give such a report to all the fans who supported us and all the people who took care of us.
"We are still unable to accept her passing and are trying to cope with it."
Kanda, who was the daughter of actor Masaki Kanda, voiced Princess Anna in the Japanese version of 2013 Disney mega hit Frozen.
She had been due to appear in a performance of musical My Fair Lady at a theatre in Hokkaido on Saturday afternoon, but never showed up.
Local media have reported that the actress did, however, appear at a rehearsal for the show on Friday.
Kanda's co-star Takako Matsu, who voiced Elsa in the Japanese dub, voiced her heartbreak over the death and said that she was "speechless" over the news.
She said: "“The time we spent together is an irreplaceable treasure for me.”
