The Chicago Bears will host the New York Giants on Sunday in a battle of losing teams, which marks the fourth straight year the two squads will face off.
For Giants running back Saquon Barkley, his memories of playing in Chicago aren’t fond. Last September, Barkley tore his ACL at Soldier Field, which ended his season after just two games.
You have to imagine Soldier Field isn’t Barkley’s favorite place, which was clearly going to be a topic of conversation when he met with the New York media this week.
But one reporter went as far as to ask Barkley if he wanted to burn down Soldier Field.
For real.
“…Maybe even want to burn down the stadium that it happened in,” the reporter asked, referring to Barkley tearing his ACL last year. “Is that something you’ve considered doing?”
I straight up can’t believe the questions New York media is asking Saquon Barkley pic.twitter.com/5gFGTG8ZuU

Barkley’s answer was simple: “No.”
It’s clear what the reporter’s intention was with the question — to get a reaction out of Barkley returning to the place where his season was cut remarkably short last season.
But the actual question missed the mark. Let’s not ask players about burning stadiums down, okay?
