Savvy tweeter reveals 'life-saving' hack to get rid of old fake tan lines

A savvy tweeter has revealed a ‘life-saving’ hack to get rid of those old layers of fake tan.

Shannon Brennan, who posts on the social media platform as @shannonbrenn, claimed that the trick to getting rid of that fake glow is baby oil.

And it's a tip that is resoundingly recommended by the experts.

Baby oil should be applied on every part of your skin for half an hour before exfoliating, according to fashion magazine Marie Claire.

The oil is used to help loosen any dead skin cells which might have taken on a bit too much of a bronzing.

Once your skin has fully absorbed the oil, you should then gently exfoliate in the shower.

Shannon, from Aberdare, Wales, agrees and says the technique means the tan “comes off like a dream”.

@shannonbrenn wrote: “Can’t believe after years of trying to scrub off old fake tan, the trick all along is baby oil.

“Rub baby oil all over you and leave on for 30 mins, or more, then rub away in shower with a flannel and it comes off like a dream.

“RT to save a life.”

Despite the tweet being more than two years old, the viral hack has stood the test of time and is still being shared by scores of people across Twitter.

One wrote: “Well I never.

"What a life-saver.”

Another said: “This just changed my life for the better.”
