Savvy shopper claims this £36 Asda vacuum cleaner is better than a Dyson

Vacuuming the house is not a fun task for most people and it's certainly not something we want to spend hours doing.

So getting the right vacuum cleaner is essential to stop us having to go over the whole house three or four times a week.

But big named brands, like Dyson can be expensive.

One savvy has now found a vacuum cleaner which she claims rivals the pricer brands, LiverpoolEcho reports.

Taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the shopper explained that she had managed to pick up a Goblin Upright vacuum cleaner reduced in Asda to £36.

The shopper raved about the bargain model and called it "absolutely amazing" before going on to say that it beats her Dyson when it comes to power and suction.

The shopper also urged other members of the group to pick a Goblin up for themselves, promising them that they wouldn't be disappointed by it.

The post has gained more than 300 comments with many supporting her recommendation.

Dyson's upright vacuum cleaners can cost anything from £199 to £299, with alternative, specialised models costing up to £599, meaning the discounted Goblin model could secure huge savings for shoppers.

At full price, the Goblin upright vacuum costs £59.96 meaning a saving of £139.04 could be made when compared to Dyson's cheapest upright vacuum cleaner.

The vacuum is still on sale for £36 in some stores.
