Savvy mum of 16 reveals genius tip for feeding all her kids without any washing up to do afterwards

A mum has revealed how she manages to feed all 16 of her children without having to do any washing up afterwards.

Jeni and Ray Bonell, whose kids are aged between five and 30, revealed their genius trick which means there isn't a mountain of dishes to clean after a meal.

Giving an insight into "lunch" at their home, Jeni revealed her simple tip which makes mealtimes with such a large brood so much easier.

Posting on the family Instagram account, she explains how she rolls out a large piece of paper on the floor, folds up the edges, essentially serving as a huge platter.

She covers the paper in the food - in this case fish and chips, and all the children then gather around and eat it together.

Meaning not only does it cut down on the washing up, it means all the kids can easily reach the chips while all sitting at once to eat together.

The couple, who are one of the largest families in Australia, share much of their day-to-day life with their 8,000 Instagram followers.

They also have their own YouTube channel, The Bonell Family, giving viewers an insight into life with an extra-large family.

Sharing the savvy hack online, she wrote: "Lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!"

She added she was: "Just feeding the kids."

Fellow parents praised the pair for sharing the hack with them, with many saying they loved the simple lunch.

One person said: "Best lunch ever"

Another wrote: "These are the best lunches during the holidays. Our kids love it too. Enjoy."

While a third raved: "No better lunch! A favourite weekend lunch in our house."

And one mum added: "Literally getting hot chips right now cause it’s rainy [because] that's what [you] do!"

Jeni previously revealed that they're often mistaken for hoarders when they go shopping because of how much food they have.

While she acknowledged that "it probably looked like a panic buy" to others, the three trolleys they filled was just their regular shop.

She said: "Doing groceries for a big family is hard enough without the unnecessary stares and comments. Just pleased it’s all done."
