Savvy mum has already finished her Christmas shopping and got it all half price

Christmas might still be more than five months away, but one incredibly organised mum won't have to worry about dashing out to the store for last minute gifts come December.

That's because the savvy shopper has managed to pretty much complete all of her present purchasing during the first half of the year.

The woman revealed a huge part of her Christmas haul on social media and explained how she'd done it - and how she'd managed to get all of her goodies at bargain prices.

In a post on a budgeting Facebook page, the Australian mum explained that she'd been stockpiling presents for her family and friends since last year.

She says she hit up the Boxing Day sales to kick off her purchasing, before keeping an eye on all other sales over the next few months.

Alongside a photo of the items she's bought so far, she wrote: "I only managed to get half of it on the bed, this is just family, teachers' gifts and presents for friends and their families.

"My rule of thumb is whatever I buy for this stockpile has to be 50 percent off or more."

As well as looking out for reduced items, she also makes sure to shop at discounted and budget retailers, such as Aldi, where she claims to have found "amazing gift packs".

She added: "I start in the Boxing day sales, I bought all of the gift packs at Priceline and bought some really cute kids presents at Big W and Target."

Once she's bought a gift, she then takes it home and wraps it up - another thing she doesn't have to stress about in the run up to the holiday.

Many fellow parents liked her post and shared their Christmas shopping tips.

One agreed that anyone who doesn't start early is "missing out" on big savings.

Another revealed how they purchased loads of toys for £1 in the Boxing Day sales as well.
