Drivers across the UK are facing soaring costs for fuel, with petrol hitting highs of 152p a litre and diesel 155.79p a litre.
There are concerns that prices for motorists could increase even further if Russia cuts off supply to Europe amid the war in Ukraine.
Coupled with the ever-increasing cost of living, millions of UK drivers are worried about affording their fuel bills.
However, one savvy driver shared a tip to get the cheapest petrol near you by using a fuel price comparison app.

Writing on popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the bargain-loving motorist wrote: "With petrol and diesel prices increasing I thought it would be helpful to share an app I’ve been using called Petrol Prices, it helps you locate the cheapest petrol near you."
Drivers can browse an interactive map on Petrol Prices app to find petrol stations in their area and click each station to view fuel prices.
The app covers over 98% of the UK and app users can filter their search by fuel type, distance and fuel brand - it originally started as a website (petrolprices.com) over 10 years ago and has continued to grow since.
Over 600 people flocked to comment on the post, thanking her for sharing the information, with some calling the app a 'total game-changer'.
"I’ve been using it for some years now," commented one group member, which another added "It's so good - I get it set up as emails for daily notices."
