Savings from $1.7b childcare package

SAVINGS FROM $1.7 BILLION CHILDCARE PACKAGE FROM JULY 1

- Childcare subsidies increase for families with more than one child aged five and under, benefiting around 250,000 families

- $10,560 cap removed on childcare subsidy, benefiting around 18,000 families

- Savings:

(Two-child family income - current subsidy - new subsidy - saving per week)

$40,000 - 85 per cent - 95 per cent - $41.60

$80,000 - 82 per cent - 95 per cent - $53.79

$110,000 - 72 per cent - 95 per cent - $95.39

$140,000 - 62 per cent - 92 per cent - $124.80

$180,000 - 50 per cent - 80 per cent - $124.80
