Save big on Murad Skincare: We've secured an exclusive discount code for Standard readers

Brighter days are here, and that calls for a brighter complexion to match.

Luckily, Murad is answering the call for results-focused skincare with discounts of up to 25 per cent across the site. The bad news? The Friends & Family sale ended on Friday, April 3 at 8am.

But the good news? We’ve managed to secure an exclusive discount code for Standard readers that will continue to give you 25 per cent off until midnight on Easter Monday (April 6).

Who is Murad?

Founded by one Dr Howard Murad, the doctor-founded American brand has been around since 1989, offering the masses clinical skincare products that target specific concerns: think fine lines, age spots, and acne scarring.

Putting skincare on par with healthcare, Murad recruits skincare experts of all stripes and flavours to devise scientifically proven treatment products in the pursuit of healthy skin.

In short? There are few better places to turn if you're looking to achieve radiant, healthy-looking skin.

What does Murad specialise in?

It’s time to declutter your beauty cabinet of all those half-empty lotions and potions you’re forcing yourself to get through. Murad has options for practically every skin quibble and irritation with skin-enhancing formulas designed to work at a cellular level. They perform so well, you'll be clawing every last scrap from the pot.

What is the Murad discount code?

Thanks to our friends at Murad, the sale has been extended exclusively for Standard readers, who have until 11.59pm on April 6 to make their purchases.

Just add MURAD-ES25 when you’re checking out your basket.

The discounts even apply to Murad's Retinal ReSculpt Range, a five-strong collection that includes a body treatment to give your skin its bounce back.

Are there any exclusions?

Full disclosure: while the discount applies to most of the brand's offerings, a few have been excluded from the sale. These include Murad's new Lipid Enriched Double Cleansing Balm, refills, subscriptions, sale items, gift sets, value sets and travel sizes.

What are Murad’s bestsellers?

The site is fantastic for finding products based on your skin concern, whether that's lifting and firming, oil control or soothing eczema-prone skin.

Still not sure what to buy? As a long-time Murad fan, here are the products I rate and buy on repeat.

Murad Retinal Resculpt

Best for: overnight intensity

With retinal — the gold standard vitamin A derivative used for effective anti-ageing — as the key ingredient, this eye cream packs a serious punch. But this means it can only be used at night and teamed with a protective, high-factor sunscreen the next morning as retinal speeds up cell renewal, making fresh skin more susceptible to sun damage.

It also includes an oat-based firming film, which Murad cleverly coins as ‘shapewear for the eyes,’ thanks to its lifting and recontouring capabilities.

On fingertips, the cream has a bouncy texture, which stays as you tap it over the eyelids and beyond, giving a lovely springy feel to the skin while definition is restored.

Murad InvisiScar Resurfacing Treatment

It's up there amongst the big skin no-nos: However tempting, however ripe, do not pick those spots. But like countless others, I have fallen foul of this cardinal derm rule, and my skin texture bears the brunt.

While my acne scarring is relatively small fry, contained to an area of each cheek that measures two finger-widths wide, I have felt self-conscious about it, especially when I’m at big events. So, Murad's InvisiScar Resurfacing Treatment was a revelation. This stuff is like Photoshop in a bottle, using BHA to exfoliate while purified centella asiatica and vitamin C work in tandem to brighten dark blemishes. Alongside the brightening ingredients, there’s also blurring at play, smoothing pits over from the first application.

The scarring looks instantly improved on clean skin, and virtually undetectable when I add makeup on top. So good, I would keep it under lock and key if I didn't reach for it so often.

Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Serum

Murad’s formulas are some of the most advanced and innovative on the market. Take this retinol, for example, which combines a fast-acting retinoid for quick results with a time-release retinol to deliver consistent levels over time, as well as a Retinol Booster to enhance efficacy. It’s designed for all skin types, including sensitive, and is proven to boost radiance and smooth lines in just two weeks.

Murad Targeted Eye Depuffer

The benefits of Murad’s eye depuffer are twofold. Number one, the formula itself is enriched with peptides and caffeine, which help to reduce fine lines, dark circles and puffiness. Number two, it comes in an easy-to-use applicator, which encourages lymphatic drainage for extra depuffing. Store it in the fridge for best results.

Murad Daily Defence Cream

Colloidal oatmeal is a champion ingredient for treating compromised and easily irritated skin conditions when it comes to incredibly effective soothing and calming benefits. This rich, almost balm-like cream includes it as one of three hero ingredients, ensuring that redness, itching and any discomfort from the dryness that rosacea causes are quickly reduced.

It also includes hydrating mondo grass sugars and anti-inflammatory niacinamide as well as shea butter to create a beautifully softening, nourishing formula that also helps to strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and glides on when you apply it. In fact, so potent is this cream that it’s clinically proven to reduce visible redness, and dryness and give ongoing soothing and itch relief after using it day and night for 7 days.

Murad Targeted Wrinkle Corrector 15ml

Ah, the wonderful world of Murad. One of our favourite brands, we’re yet to come across a product we don’t like by the skincare expert — including this anti-wrinkle corrector.

Instead of turning to the likes of fillers and Botox, simply apply this powerful formula — which is infused with hyaluronic acid and squalene - directly to the problem areas with the delightfully smooth metal applicator, and even the most stubborn lines will be smoothed over.
