There has been yet another horror bike attack in Dublin as a vicious gang pushed a 12-year-old boy off his bike and stole it in a second similar heartbreaking attack in the space of 24 hours.
A text alert sent around to Swords residents warned parents to be wary about letting their kids out as the teenage gang continued to hang about after the attack on Wednesday.
The text to Castleview residents said: "Be aware of the teenage gangs hanging around the general area.
"A resident has said her 12-year-old son was in the Sandford Wood green area on his bike with his friends when these teenagers came up from behind, pushed him off his bike and took it."
It continued: "They chased them and luckily the chain came off so they dumped it and got it back thankfully.
"It's terrible carry on from teenage lads. So please make your kids aware to be vigilant of their surroundings."
This shocking incident happened less than 24 hours before another young man was left shaken after he was confronted by an "aggressive" teen gang and had his bicycle stolen in broad daylight in a north Dublin park.
The shocking incident took place in front of dozens of people out enjoying the fine weather in St Anne's Park, Raheny at around 4:30pm on Thursday.
The victim is understood to have been near the park's famous Rose Garden with a friend when he was approached by the thugs who were described as acting aggressively.
One of the gang then stole the teenager's bike with the victim and his friend described as being extremely shaken by the horrific experience.
A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live they are investigating the incident.
