Savage attack on teenager at Kilmarnock bus station will leave victim with 'life-long scars'

A teenager will be left with lifelong scars following a savage attack at Kilmarnock bus station last night.

Police shut down the transport terminal after a disturbance involving two groups with the 19-year-old sustaining injuries at around 10.20pm.

The teen was rushed Crosshouse Hospital where he was treated for serious, non-life threatening injuries, police confirmed this morning.

Cops are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Constable Paul Tracey of Saltcoats CID said: “This was a serious assault which will leave the victim with life-long scars and we are keen to trace those responsible as soon as possible.

“I would urge anyone who may have been in the area, or at the bus station at the time and saw the disturbance to contact police as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3853 of October 9, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
