Sausage and Cider Festival announces Newcastle comeback for 2022

Sausages and cider are a match made in foodie heaven and both will be on the menu - and a lot more besides - at a Newcastle festival next year.

Following a sell-out launch in the city in 2019, the Sausage and Cider Festival is set to make a return in February to Newcastle Civic Centre with another mouthwatering selection of bangers and brews.

As well as around 14 unique flavours of sausage, there will be the "finest cider money can buy" say organisers, as well as craft beer, gin and prosecco bars for those who prefer a pick of tipples.

A spokesman for the festival said the food on offer will not be "standard bangers", adding: "We source the finest butchers’ sausages and those with a little twist too." The kind of varieties to expect include the likes of cheese-infused and chilli flavours.

The festival, on February 19, will include live music from its in-house band and DJ acts. There also will be a chance for local bands to take to the stage and anyone interested in a slot can apply online.

On the day there will be a choice of two five-hour sessions available for visitors, running from noon until 5pm and then from 6pm to 11pm.

Tickets will be available from £10 and to pre-register for them see here.
