Saudi Stock Market Index Rises Above 9,500 Points

The Saudi stock exchange is already the biggest market in the Middle East by market capitalization and trading volumes. (Reuters)

The main Saudi stock index rose by 122.25 points at the close of trading to reach the level of 9595.45 points, with trades worth 14.6 billion riyals.

The number of traded shares has reached more than 530 million shares, shared by more than 560,000 deals in which the shares of 82 companies recorded an increase in their value, while the shares of 108 companies closed down.

The shares of Sadq, Musk, Al Yamamah Steel, Maadeniya, and Al Hokair Group were the highest, while the shares of advanced companies, Amiantit, Saudi Pipelines, Atheeb Telecom and Tabuk Agricultural were the lowest in trading, as the rise and fall rates ranged between 10.00% and 7.83%. .

Shares of Dar Al-Arkan, Al-Inma, Emaar, Musk, and Al-Jazirah were the most active in quantity, and Al-Rajhi, Advanced, Al-Inma, Musk and SABIC were the most active in value.

The parallel Saudi stock index “Nomu” also closed today, down 294.24 points, to close at 25908.40 points, and with trades amounting to 22 million riyals, and the number of traded shares reached 200,000 shares, shared by 856 deals.
