Saudi Shura Council Rejects the Undermining of Saudi Sovereignty

Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh - SPA

Saudi Arabia's Shura Council rejected and condemned what it described as negative, false and unacceptable assessments and accusations that were raised in the US report over the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi.

In a statement on Sunday, Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh affirmed the Council’s complete rejection of any act aimed at undermining the sovereignty of the Kingdom and its leadership.

He also stressed that the people of Saudi Arabia strongly reject any act that targets Saudi Arabia or undermines its role and position.

Al-Sheikh stressed the Council's full support for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement that rejected the report.

He also expressed support to the measures taken by the Saudi government to preserve its rights, noting that the Kingdom is moving forward in achieving security and peace under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.
