
A security team, including Saudi investigators, arrived in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Saturday to take part in the investigation into the disappearance of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi.
Saudi Arabia's consul-general told Reuters earlier on Saturday that his country was helping search for Khashoggi, and dismissed talk of his possible abduction.
He condemned such “baseless” accusations, doubting that such statements could have been issued by authorized Turkish officials.
The source underlined the Kingdom’s keenness on the safety of its citizens wherever they may be, adding that the concerned authorities were following up on the case to uncover all of its details.
