
The sixth meeting of the Saudi-Russian Joint Committee on Trade, Economic and Scientific Cooperation was held in Moscow on Monday under co-chairmanship of Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid al-Falih and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
They discussed trade and economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Russia, including improving the regulatory framework and enhancing economic and investment cooperation, as well as joint projects in the fields of energy, industry and agriculture.
Falih also stressed the readiness of the Saudi leadership and government to bolster and raise levels of cooperation between the two countries to achieve the objectives of the ambitious future plans.
The fifth meeting of the joint Saudi-Russian committee was held in Riyadh in November 2017.
The bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia are witnessing remarkable developments in various fields through mutual meetings and visits between officials to serve the common interests, especially since the visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to Russia in October 2017.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit the Kingdom in October, revealed Falih.
