Saudi Relief Air Bridge to Yemen’s Hodeidah Launched from Riyadh

Two relief aircraft are dispatched to aid Yemen's Hodeidah. (SPA)

The first two relief aircraft, dispatched by the Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Acts Centre (KSRelief), departed the Saudi capital on Tuesday to Yemen’s Aden, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

The 70 tons of shelter and food items will be sent to those in need in Hodeidah province.

Advisor-Royal Court, the General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, said that the new relief bridge comes in implementation of the generous directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Vice President and Minister of Defense.

Al Rabeeah had on Monday revealed that a number of ships will also be sent from Jazan, affirming that Saudi Arabia is keen on the safety of Yemen and its people.
